Audiologist Greta C. Stamper knows well what her patients go through when it comes to hearing impairments. She was diagnosed with a bilateral sensorineural hearing loss at age 8.
After seeing a Mayo Clinic physician, Dr. Stamper ultimately decided to pursue a career in audiology herself. She completed an audiologist externship at Mayo School of Health Sciences and has come full circle – now practicing at Mayo Clinic’s campus in Jacksonville, Fla.
MSHS, which originally began in 1973 as the Mayo School of Health-Related Science, now more than 100 training programs representing over 60 health care professions on all three campuses. The audiology program is available at all three Mayo Clinic campuses in Phoenix, Az., Jacksonville, Fla., and Rochester, Minn.
